The leadership is an attribute that makes the difference between two persons. For me, you can have all the power of the world, but isn't enough to make the difference between a good and a bad leader. To be a good leader, you need to impact in the life or work of your partners, being a support to them. And today I going to talk about a great leader in his 17 year career in the National Football League, NFL, a sport that I like a lot.
Ray Lewis was a linebacker for the Baltimore Ravens and make an immediate impact in the history of the team, who was the newest team in the league at the time that Lewis enter in the league, and 17 year later, the team has won two Super Bowl, the title of the NFL. In all that years, Lewis become in an instant leader for the team, with his winning attitude and his vocal leadership. In his final season as a pro, Lewis injured after 6 games (a normal season have 16 games), and against all the odds, he can play in the playoffs and lead the team to the championship, the best way to finish his great career. He was only one of two players that won the first championship with the team in 2000, and his character and role of leader was crucial in a inexperienced team. Its notable that even with his personal troubles, like a murder charge and problems with drugs, Ray Lewis never has been questioned for his teammates and people around the NFL, a big prove of his leadership and impact in the people.
