How to learn a new language

This is my final post in this blog, and I have to say I enjoy this challenge. When I start to write this blog, I have no confidence in my skills to learn some new language, but at the time I become to make this post and describe a lot of good memories, like my last vacations, or my favorite things, like the British rock and the football, I feel very comfortable with my development learning English.

Two of the thing I improved with this blog is my vocabulary and my speed to write in this language, but at the same time, I feel that I have to understand that the English is a total difference language than the Spanish, because in English you have many less words to use, and you write in English in a different way. So at the end, this is my fourth English level, so in this moment I feel very comfortable trying to speak, listen or write in another language.

By the way, I think the blog is a very good method to learn another language, and is very easy to use a blog. But, I don't like the fact that for every update, you have to write a new text, and that is a little annoying. But at the end, I think I'm going to write more often in this beauty language.

Thank you!

Welcome to "Fiestas Patrias"

Hi, the month of September is one of the most special time in Chile, because of “Fiestas Patrias”, a date to celebrate the first  “junta de gobierno” in 1810, where people of the time was trying to break away from the Spanish monarchy. The real independence of Chile occurred in 1818, but in our country we celebrate the September 18th, for being the first attempt of the Chilean people to be an independent nation.
In the current era, the Chilean people celebrate this date with a lot of enthusiasm, and of course, a lot of typical food, beverages, games and dances from each zone of Chile. For example in the north of Chile, the people has their own traditions, meanwhile in the south of this country, the typical things are very different. But that is one of the most beauty things of Chile, the diversity of his own people. Where I come from, Rancagua, I like to go to the “fondas” a big place with a lot of different stalls, where you can go to dance “cueca” and “cumbia”, and at the same time, eat some “anticuchos”, a billet meat served in an iron, or some “empanadas”, a dough with meat, onion and olives.
I recommend to all the foreign people to come to celebrate “Fiestas Patrias”, one date where the people has the idea of celebrate for three or four days, or even sometimes a week of celebrations. “Tikitikiti”

You can't stand me now

I am a huge fan of the British music, and I always hear classics bands like the Beatles and Led Zeppelin and also some new bands, like the Arctic Monkeys and The Libertines. I have to say that this last band is my favorite, for his music and his attitude.
The Libertines was formed in London in 1997, and actually are four members in the band, Pete Doherty and Carl Barat, both guitarist and vocalist of the band, and bassist John Hassall and drummer Gary Powell. They have released three Studio albums to date, and in the past has a lot of problem between them, especially Doherty and Barat, and with drugs and alcohol. Even they have to split sometimes, because their very deep difference.  But now, since their reunion, the band have release one studio album and play in the biggest scenarios in Europe and United State.
Personally, I think their music is a mirror of our society, with a lot of chaos, and always I hear some Libertine’s song I remember that old phrase: “live fast, die young”. My favorite song is Time for Heroes, and even I went one time to see Carl Barat and Gary Powell here in Santiago, and the only thing I believe after that show is that I can’t die before I go to see The Libertines at least one time in my life.
